The California Lamb Sale
Buying Procedures
The California Lamb Sale is facilitated by the California Suffolk & Hampshire Sheep Breeders Association and the Modesto Jr. College School of Agriculture. It consists of two different opportunities to purchase lamb projects: an online sale and an in-person pen sale. In short, the online sale is similar to a “silent auction,” where you can bid directly on the sale website (sconlinesales.com) and the pen sale provides buyers a chance to purchase pre-priced animals ($500 – $750) in a first-come, first served format.
