About Us

California Suffolk & Hampshire Sheep Breeders Association (CSHSBA) was formed to represent Suffolk and Hampshire sheep breeders in California. As time went on, crossbred or “wether dam” sheep became more prevalent, CSHSBA also included those breeders in the membership.

Today, CSHSBA strives to represent bothpurebred sheep breeders as well as the club lamb producers. The most notable event that CSHSBA is involved with is the Reno All American Sheep Show and Sale which is held annually at the Nugget Casino and Hotel in Sparks, NV. The main event which is the sale takes place in the Nugget Hotel on the event stage! CSHSBA also strives to keep producers connected by hosting the annual Winter Sheep Tour and Open House which takes place in the Central Valley near Modesto, CA.

Additionally, CSHSBA awards several scholarships to deserving students and provides a “Sale Credit” award to selected recipients.
